I could have stayed all day taking photos but I was waiting for bus no. 66 to go home. I must go back and take more photos.
Apparently colours and patterns are in fashion (à la mode) this summer.

SPRING? - le printemps?

Blue sky and fluffy clouds (nuages duveteux), Spring? Oh no!
Look carefully (regardez attentivement). The trees in front of the house are without leaves (sans feuilles). There is nothing growing (rien qui pousse) in the field (le champ), the earth (la terre) is brown . In fact the temperature is only 4°! But as you can see, it is a beautiful sunny winter day.
Look carefully again. There are two doors open, so it is warm (doux) in the sun in front of the house.
Look again. There is a big tree on the left behind the house that is green, I wonder (je me demande) what it is. No doubt an evergreen oak (un chêne vert). I will go and verify tomorrow, for this is my house today.

SWALLOWS - hirondelles

Swallows are one of my favourite birds; when they arrive it means spring is here. The skies are full of chatter (bavardage) and they love diving (plonger) and drinking in my pool. 12 years ago there were 8 couples in my hamlet, now there are only 2! Swallows eat insects but there are less (moins de) insects because of insecticides, so there are less swallows.
