MODERN CROCKERY -vaisselle moderne

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Just look at these modern art cup and plate made be De Havilland, seen in a shop -or should I say 'boutique'- window in the expensive district of Paris! Imagine a table full of these! And what sort of tablecloth (nappe) would you use? They are very expensive: 45 euros for the cup and saucer (sous-tasse) and 65 euros for the dessert plate. Perhaps you could buy just one of each (une de chaque) and different ones for each guest (invité). I quite like them ( je les aime assez), I find them interesting, different from the usual flowers and pink roses. If I had enough (assez) money I would buy a cup and saucer and drink my breakfast tea in it and feel very snobby.
And what about the window dressing with the paint all dripping down (dégoulinante), interesting also, and unusual (peu commun) for an expensive boutique. I like people who can be different.

BROKEN - cassé

In Paris I dropped (laissé tonber) my camera and the objective was stuck (coincé), I couldn't use it anymore (ne plus). I was devastated, my camera! it had become part of my arm (bras)! I looked for (cherché) the guarentee, lost (perdu); I tried to take it apart (demonter), impossible; I shook it, there was a terrible noise; I managed (j'ai réussi) to take 3 photos, here is one.

Finally in despair (en désespoir) I banged it (je l'ai tapé). Suddenly the objective went back in (est rentré) and everything was normal!!:)
Amazing! I was on the point of throwing it in the bin (le jeter à la poubelle).I

I was so happy.:) I immediately went out and took some photos and continued my series of 'the plate'.

THE PLATE 4

Decidely I love this plate!

In the first plate is a radish grown (poussé) in my garden, that I ate afterwards (ensuite).
In the second is some home-made liver paté with Cognac, which i also ate afterwards - delicious. I will have to put all my photos of this plate together (ensemble); I learnt today it's called typography photo when you do this. I googled and discovered someone who does this with photos of posts (poteaux). I'd have no problems doing that, I live just near vineyards where there are hundreds of posts - I'll have to try.

Here is one from my garden

THE PLATE 3

REMEMBER? I took another photo today: Now I have a series of three.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I like the simplicity of these photos, I like the repetition of circles on the plate and its colour not exactly white.

Here's another plate, but full of delicious food this time.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

This was my plate in our favourite Portuguese restaurant in Paris. It is octopus and prawns (crevettes) grilled on the barbecue with red and green peppers (poivrons), potatoes, onions and black olives. Deliciously perfumed olive oil was poured (versé) over it just before it came to my table, the smell was unbelievable (incroyable). As you can imagine, I enjoyed it. We had a bottle of sparkling (pétillant) Vinot Verdi to accompany it - all Portugal in a glass. I'll definitely go again.

A RED WALL

I've been photgraphing my supermarkets again :)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Fantastic, this one, love it!

This time I went inside and found something graphic to photograph.

It's an attractive plate but I can't imagine eating my toast or a piece of tart in it. I didn't buy it, just took a photo.

THE PLATE - l'assiette

I bought two new breakfast/dessert plates and they inspired some very graffic photos:

I put them in my redbubble group 'SHAPES AND PATTERNS' and I'm very proud that one is chosen to be featured. There are 4725 people in this group, so it's very difficult to be noticed (être remarqué).
I think another photo would be nice to make a series of three, but I don't know what to put in the middle (au centre). I'm waiting for inspiration!
