Found on my rose bush today:
Well-named in English it's called the STICK ( bâton) INSECT and it eats the leaves.
And this is a minute (minuscule) grasshopper that eats the petals of my yellow roses! When the buds (boutons) manage to flower in spite of (malgré) the greenflies (pucerons) the grasshopper gets the petals! That's the result of green gardening, no sprays, no insecticides, but no roses!

SWALLOWS - hirondelles
By carolweb on Thursday, July 15 2010,
Swallows are one of my favourite birds; when they arrive it means spring is here. The skies are full of chatter (bavardage) and they love diving (plonger) and drinking in my pool. 12 years ago there were 8 couples in my hamlet, now there are only 2! Swallows eat insects but there are less (moins de) insects because of insecticides, so there are less swallows.
