All the colours of Autumn in these chrysanthemums that have become the graveyard (cimetière) flower in France. What a pity, they are beautiful vibrant colours, but they don't like heavy rain (de fortes pluies) or cold.
I bought 3 pots of yellow ones for my garden and they add a spot of colour among (parmi) all the dark greens.

SUNSHINE STAMENS

My entry for the "STAMENS" CHALLENGE in the Extreme Close-Ups group. It's a St John's wort bush (buisson de millepertuis) in my garden, dark green (vert foncé) leaves and lots of big bright yellow flowers.
I think this one is quite (assez) original too, this one is - or was - a rose.

My two entries in the yellow challenge were chosen in spite of the fact that the hosts of the group have changed.
This one's amusing and original, but not a 'good' photo.
This one's street art that I photographed in an exhibition in Paris. Street art is now selling as traditional art painted on panels of wood (bois) or paper.
I put this one in the CHALLENGE, but I'm sure it will not win, some of the other photos are very good, mine is just 'different'. I think they ought to (ils devraient) say 'no flowers' in this colour challenge, it's too easy to take beautiful photos of flowers.

INSECT INVASION

It was very hot and thundery (oraguex) weather this afternoon and clouds nuages) of thunder bugs arrived. .There were so many we couldn't eat outside, they were falling (tombaient) in the plates and glasses (assiettes et verres). Apparently they particularly liked the yellow colour, so with my grand-daughter (petite fille) we did an experiment: we put on the table different coloured bowls filled with water, yellow, green, blue and white. After two hours this is the result:
The result is conclusive: thunder bugs like yellow! Better not wear yellow clothes (vêtements) when the weather is hot otherwise (autrement) you will be covered with insects!

This one is called "sunshine bowls" - a very happy colour for breakfast.
This is an abstract one - I like abstract photos. It is a maple tree flower on my car's headlamp!

Now I have to choose one of the two to try for the Top Ten. Which one? Probably the bowls, the other is too abstract to please everybody.
