I really enjoyed the food in Yorkshire, and anyone who says English food is horrible should go to Yorkshire pubs to taste some excellent and cheap meals.
This is the menu board of a cosy pub with a wood fire, all home-made food, just look at the choice!
I had scampi and salad, because there was no fish that night.
Below was my plate in the pub which had a carvery (rotisserie) where the chef cut you your choice of roast, then you chose as many vegetables as you liked. You can see the two big Yorkshire puddings I had, with roast beef, cabbage and peas. It was absolutely delicious. For 4 people plus drinks and coffee it was less than £50
