At last, summer evenings where I can sit outside and eat - the rain and wind have disappeared. The tomatoes are from my neighbour's (voisin) garden and are delicious just with salt and pepper, a drop (une goutte) of balsamic vinegar and a splash of olive oil. The small flowers in the centre are PURSLANE (pourpier), a small wild (sauvage) succulent plant that loves my garden. It's sharp and peppery. The larger ones and the leaves in the foreground are ROQUETTE, more peppery salad leaves from my garden.
