FLORAL ART

This weekend I suddenly remembered I knew how to do other things than take photos, so...

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
I made this.
Well, first I went shopping to buy some frames (cadres), some plastic boxes and some plants. I found some very nice frames for under 5 euros and I was very pleased with the result.
I didn't only make one, while the inspiration was working I made 4.

Fantastic, no?
Tableaux végétaux - don't know what they are called in English, (but the french name is not very poetical!) are in the fashion (à la mode) here but they are very expensive, the smallest one being 22 euros. Mine cost less than 10 and are much nicer.
I have to perfect them, to make sure they're solid and find a way to hang them up (les suspendre), for the moment they are on the table.
But why not? I can add a candle (bougie) and use them on the coffee table or as decoration on the dinner table when I have guests (invités).

HOT WEATHER in PARIS

<Digimax i6 PMP, Samsung #11 PMP>
It was very hot at the weekend when I was in Paris and a lot of Parisian women were in shorts. Here you can see them enjoying the sun on the quays of the Seine.
The big event was Nature on the Champs Elysées.

This is the poster on the side of the road which shows an overall view. There were trees, bushes, flowers, fruit and vegetables...and of course people, thousands of people!

                            Tomatoes and strawberries.

Everything was planted in boxes to be easy to transport, it was unbelievably (incroyablement) well organised. The visitors were very happy to see all these plants, but didn't always know what they were: there were not enough labels (pas assez d'étiquettes). They strolled slowly and calmly looking at everything, very interested, and delighted (enchantés) when they recognized something.

MUSIC

Music in the garden today - what luxury! The birds who usually(habituellement) sing, were very surprised.

It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and the music just added something special. (C'était une belle journée douce et ensoleillée et la musique était un plus.) Stéphanie was rehearsing (elle répétait) for a show in the evening where she accompanies a local storyteller (un conteur). She plays the accordeon, the flute and the cello, she's very good.

I finished planting the flowers:

Don't you think these are just original? I bought them in the local supermarket, only 7 euros each (chacune), and I think they look a lot better than ordinary window boxes. They are specially for plants the cups have a hole (un trou) in the bottom, so I can't drink my breakfast chocolate in them; :)
