They are the walls of the oyster huts in Ile d'Oléron.
I must go back another day and take some more photos, those huts are fantastic colours. This time I'll go in the morning when the sun is on the other side (de l'autre côté).

2 BRIDGES - 2 ponts

This afternoon I was sitting looking at this view
calm and quiet, beautiful. I was watching the tide come in (la marée monter). I was on the Ile d'Oléron, you can see the bridge I took from the continent, and behind it the bridge over the river Seudre - all in Charente Maritime of course. This is the region where the oysters (huitres) are grown, some under all this water!
This is the harbour (port) in Château d'Oléron, special oyster boats and colourful oyster huts.
