I loved the book about Japan so much, I bought the second one:

This one is even more amazing; it's about a tiny island in the inner sea of Japan, where Florent Chavouet spent summer 2009.
He still does the unbelievable detailed drawings from above:

but also the close-ups, for example the local cats:


This is my favourite book of the moment.
