NOT SPRING, WINTER!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Snow in Charente Maritime, not much, but enough to make everything white and make circulating on the roads difficult. There was no sun, the sky was very grey all day, so the snow didn't melt (fondre) very much. This evening the temperature is -3°, so the snow will be frozen (gelé) in the morning.
I put some food out for the birds and they were eating all day.

This is a thrush (une grive) which particularly enjoyed the cauliflower cheese (chou-fleur au gratin)!

A NEW BOOK

<Digimax i6 PMP, Samsung #11 PMP>

These are photos of pages from my husband's new book, it arrived this morning and he is very proud and excited. The illustrator is Lisa Launay, whose job is designing cloth for children's clothes. She creates the illustrations on her computer.
My husband writes the stories: this one is about a scarecrow (épouvantail, babouin en charentais) who doesn't scare the birds away and is saved from being destroyed by the farmer by a small lark (allouette) which falls into his pocket.

With the help of the other birds and a golden seed the farmers has fields full of sunflowers and everybody is happy.
