  • NATURE'S COLLAGE - What's this? it's the top of a mushroom (champignon) found in the wood. We found five, cooked them and ate them, they're delicious. They are tall mushrooms with a large flat cap, hence their name SHAGGY PARASOL. ()

  • FROM OUTER SPACE? - If you've seen this before you know what it is, otherwise (autrement) you will never guess! (deviner) It's a christofene fruit that is starting to grow. Somebody gave me it and I forgot it in the fridge. I was very surprised when I saw it. I hope it will continue to grow, it's very curious. ()

  • COCOON - A green caterpillar has made its cocoon in the leaves of my phacelia bouquet. It was a green caterpillar with a yellow stripe along its side. I looked it up on internet and discovered it's just a brown moth (papillon de nuit), not a beautiful butterfly. ()

  • A NEW FLOWER - I saw a flower for the first time today, lots of flowers in fact, a field full (un plein champ). It's exciting to discover a flower I didn't know, and not far from (pas loin de) my house. It's very tall with leaves like ferns (fougères), delicate mauve flowers and perfume. I had never seen it before ()

  • MODERN ARCHITECTURE - Straight up and down (tout droit,ça monte et ça descend), all glass, amazing reflections. Curious - an alternative to going straight up, balconies hanging over the floor below (au-dessus l'étage inférieure). ()
