- MODERN ART - Two of the contemporary installations in the Tuileries gardens: the wooden leg growing out of the tree is surprising. But we were a bit disappointed with the FIAC this year, nothing new or surprising. The 19th century statues are beautiful too - and the pigeons love them! (…)

- BACK FROM PARIS - It was wonderful (merveilleux) weather in Paris and my photos have lovely blue sky - reflections again. - BACK TO PARIS again - No photos for a week, I'm delighted (enchantée) to be going back to Paris again for a week. That is if the SNCF doesn't decide to go on strike (faire grève) again tomorrow morning. - AUTUMN HORIZON - Good news! I have my horizon again! The maize has been cut 3 weeks before last year, what a relief (un soulagement). I came back from Paris the day before yesterday at 7pm to hear a terrible noise just in front of the house. It was the combine harvester (la moissonneuse batteuse) cutting the maize. (…)
